Rosegold

I can remember when I was a little girl, getting a rose gold ring from my dad. I still have it to this day. And I swear ever since then I have had a love for the beautiful color. And lately it has become such a fashion trend, from jewlery, to nail polish, to purses and more. Everyone is rocking the rosegold. And when I saw this picture I fell instantly in love with it. This coppery-pink blonde is a perfectly balanced rose gold. Look how this color just makes her skin glow! I can not wait until someone lets me try this in the salon!

DIY Edible "Mud" Mask

September 10, 2014 9:50 am by

This delicious mask obviously isnt made out of real mud but it does look like it, and work nonetheless! One of the ingreadients is greek yogurt which contains lactic acid that exfoliates and smoothes your skin. It loosens dead skin cells and clears out poers. Cocoa is another ingredient in it which gives the mask that mud look. Cocoa is rich in antioxidants such as iron, calcium, and potassium to name a few. It rejuvenates the skin leaving it soft and glowing. Buttermilk is also in the mask and it helps to brighten , tighten, and exfoliate your skin. There are quite a few ingredients in this recipe so you may want to test a small patch first before applying to your entire face.

Recipe: Enough for 3 masks

2 Tablespoons greek yogurt

1 tsp cocoa powder

1 tsp buttermilk

1/4-1/2 banana mashed

1 tsp honey

1 tsp lemon juice

Mix all ingredients well in a blender or food processor, thick enough so it doesn't run down your face. If any drips feel free to try a tast, it should taste similar to a chocolate banana smoothie!

Do you feel like your shaving your underarms on a daily basis? It's so hot in Palm Harbor lately,  it's hard to wear anything but sleeveless. Imagine not having to worry about it for weeks. Not only will waxing last longer than shaving.  It also helps eliminate redness and irritation.  And the.best side effect is that the hair will start to grow in finer and more sparse.  Next time your in the salon lets give it a try. I promise you wont regret it

5 minute ready for work updo

September 03, 2014 10:25 pm by

Wheither you're trying to throw something professional together, or just dealing with some bead head, this quick updo is the style ticket you need. This style is a great twisting techenique so no major hair skills needed. This still works great on all hair types, wazy, curly, straight hair and its actually the easieast to do on second day hair!

first. Start from one side of your head and begin twisting your hair from the front to the back, secure that twist with a clip and continue the same on the other side.

After twisted both from front to back you can remove the clips by putting the hair in the pony and the remove the clips so your twists dont get too loose

Twist the ponytail in one direction, rolly the hair around the base of your ponytail kind of in a bun shape but as tight or as loose you want it!

need any help? just pop into the salon and we'll show you!

Tips for a great blowout

One thing I hear often in the salon is that many of you have a difficult time with your blowdrying. Trust me, even for us trained professionals it's not easy to get a perfect style. It definitely takes practice and patience.  Here are some simple steps to get you started. Always use your attachment that comes with your blowdryer. This nozzle with help direct air flow resulting in a smooth finish. Make sure you are using the correct products for what you are trying to achieve.  If you are trying to fight this humidity in Palm Harbor, try using Alfaparf Discipline Smooth Cream. Looking for something with more body and hold? Alfaparf Magnify Mousse is what you want. Great hold and volume without the heavy residue. And always choose the right size brush. The smaller the round brush the more volume and wave you will have. Not sure about the brush. Velcro rollers are a perfecf alternative.
